Larry Hardy has been employed in the financial services industry for the last 24 years and is Vice President/Financial Advisor locally for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Prior to that his educational background introduced him to the health care industry as a laboratory manager, medical equipment sales person and forensics tech. Mr. Hardy has served on the board of Directors for the Springfield Ballet company, Panther Creek Country Club, as well as the Springfield College (SCI) and Benedictine University Alumni committee to the North Central Association for Higher Education. Nilesh Goswami, M.D.
Nilesh J. Goswami, MD is a cardiologist with Prairie Cardiovascular and Director of the Coronary Care Unit at the Prairie Heart Institute at St. John’s Hospital and the Medical Director of SynvaCor, all located in Springfield, Illinois. Dr. Goswami received his medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, Springfield, Illinois. Ziad Issa, M.D.
Ziad F. Issa, M.D., FACC is a cardiologist with Prairie Cardiovascular and Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, both located in Springfield, Illinois. Dr. Issa received his medical degree from the University of Jordan School of Medicine, Amman, Jordan, and achieved his Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship and Cardiology Fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, Indiana. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology; and is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society. Dr. Issa has been published in several manuscripts and abstracts concerning heart arrhythmias, and is a lead author to the book Clinical Arrhythmology and Electrophysiology: A Companion to Braunwald’s Heart Disease. He is a nationally known expert in the area of Electrophysiology Cardiology.
Stephen H. Jennison, M.D.
Stephen H. Jennison, M.D., FCP (SA), FRCP (Edin), FACC, is a cardiologist with Prairie Cardiovascular, Medical Director of the Heart Failure Program at St. John’s Hospital, Medical Director of the Center for Living at Prairie Heart Institute, and Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, all located in Springfield, Illinois. Dr. Jennison received his medical degree at Charing Cross Hospital Medical School, University of London, England, United Kingdom, and was a Cardiology Fellow at Groote Schuur Hospital, Cape Town, South Africa and St. George’s Hospital Medical School, London, England. He is certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and as a cardiologist by the South African Medical and Dental Council. Dr. Jennison is also a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh; a fellow of the American College of Cardiology; and a member of the American College of Physicians, the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation, and the Sangamon County Medical Society. He has been published with over 60 abstracts, several manuscripts and chapters, and is currently focusing his research on the medical and surgical management of patients in acute and chronic end-stage heart failure. Dr. Jennison’s research and career goals focus on the evolving fields of heart failure prevention and treatment.
Raymond L. Kacich, M.D.
Raymond L. Kacich, M.D. is currently a member of the Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants, Ltd. and Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Dr. Kacich earned his undergraduate degree at Harvard University and his medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco. He completed an internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, and subsequently a chief residency in internal medicine and a cardiology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. He then completed an Advanced Angioplasty fellowship at the Mid-America Heart Institute in Kansas City, Missouri. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Interventional Cardiology. He is Chairman of Prairie Cardiovascular’s Continuing Medical Education Committee and presented at the 2008 American College of Cardiology annual meeting with a talk entitled “Conflict of interest: Too Much, Too Little, or Just Right”. He is published in the basic science and clinic literature.
Richard E. Katholi, M.D.
Richard E. Katholi, M.D. is a cardiologist with Prairie Cardiovascular and Clinical Professor of Pharmacology and Medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, both located in Springfield, Illinois. Dr. Katholi received his medical degree and completed a fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia, and served for the U.S. Air Force as Chief Internist in Vietnam and at Patrick Air Force Base in Florida. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, the Council for High Blood Pressure Research, and the Council for Circulation. Dr. Katholi has published over fifty abstracts, and over one hundred articles, books and reports. He has been published in The American Journal of Medicine and the American Hospital Journal. His most recent works have focused on Contrast-Induced Nephropathy and treating hypertension by renal denervation.

Raghu Kolluri, M.D., R.V.T. is the Director of Vascular Medicine at Prairie Heart Institute, Medical Director of the Non-Invasive Vascular Lab at Prairie Cardiovascular, and Clinical Assistant Professor at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, all located in Springfield, Illinois. Dr. Kolluri received his medical degree from the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, India and earned his fellowship in Vascular Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Vascular Medicine, and the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Dr. Kolluri has several scientific publications, and has most recently studied lipid abnormalities in South Asians and deep vein thrombosis. Gregory J. Mishkel, MD, highly respected researcher, lecturer and author, is a cardiologist with Prairie Cardiovascular in Springfield, Illinois. Mullin, M.D., is currently an Interventional Electrophysiologist for Prairie Cardiovascular and Clinical Assistant Professor at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, both located in Springfield, Illinois. Dr. Mullin earned his medical degree at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland before completing a Cardiology fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. and an Electrophysiology fellowship at Indiana University Medical Center. He holds board certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, and is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, as well as the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners. Dr. Mullin is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Heart Rhythm Society. He was most recently published for co-authoring, A Practical Guide to Cardiac Pacing, and has served as principal investigator in a number of original cardiac research studies.

Nasaraiah Nallamothu, M.D., is a cardiologist with Prairie Cardiovascular and a Clinical Assistant Professor at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, both located in Springfield, Illinois. He performed his Cardiology Fellowship training at Hahnemann University Hospital and University of Pennsylvania Health System, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Nallamothu holds board certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Medical Specialty Board in Cardiovascular Diseases. His research in cardiac stress testing and imaging, and myocardial bridging of coronary arteries has resulted in textbook publications, numerous articles for journals, such as the American Journal of Cardiology and the Journal of Nuclear Cardiology, and award-winning abstracts. Dr. Nallamothu is admired internationally for his work in cardiology and cardiac imaging, and locally for his work with several community hospitals and faculty advising.

Holly A. Novak, M.D. is a cardiologist with Prairie Cardiovascular, certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Novak received her medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, Springfield, Illinois, and was a Cardiology Fellow at the University of Louisville, Louisville, Kentucky. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, for which she serves on the National Prevention Committee, and a member of the American Heart Association. Throughout her career, Dr. Novak has developed a cardiac surgery program for a community hospital, which was named to the top one hundred Cardiac Hospitals in the country; served in multiple leadership roles for a community hospital, including chief of staff; established and developed a cardiac practice; developed a Rural Health Initiative with the Illinois Chapter of the American College of Cardiology; and designed and developed a community screening program for cardiovascular disease. Her personal goal is to help prevent heart disease by developing a strong prevention program with a special emphasis on women’s cardiovascular health.

Dr. Rocha-Singh received his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, California. He performed his Cardiology Fellowship training at the University of California, San Francisco, California, and at the Scripps Clinic & Research Foundation, LaJolla, California.
