In 1983, Prairie Education and Research Cooperative (PERC) was founded to facilitate cardiovascular and vascular clinical research. PERC was conceptualized to integrate state of the art medical research and bedside patient care. From its conception, PERC has provided intelligent direction, skillful execution, proven results and diverse research activities. To facilitate these research endeavors, PERC has been instrumental in fostering new cooperative efforts between physicians, medical industry, and the clinical research community. In this regard, PERC’s personnel have promoted the clinical introduction of new pharmaceuticals, cardiovascular techniques and medical devices. Over the past two decades, the evolution of this cooperative effort has been reflected in the growth of PERC to its present size. PERC is an excellent resource for project, site and data management.
Under the PERC Board of Directors, the PERC Medical Director provides leadership for modeling PERC’s philosophy and values, and is responsible for the overall strategic business and clinical research direction. While PERC has historically focused on single site clinical trials, in the recent decade we have also been involved in clinical multi-site coordination. PERC’s multi-center trial methodology consists of two focused targets:
1. Rapid and accurate delivery of data to sponsors and the FDA.
2. Dedication to quality assurance.
PERC is dedicated to conducting each and every trial with intelligent direction, skillful execution, and proven results: The hallmarks of the PERC organization.
